Are you having upper GI pain and your physician recommends an endoscopy? You can go one of two ways – being sedated and threaded with a flexible scope down your esophagus, stomach, and duodenum with a camera attached, or swallowing Israel’s innovative pill cam – a disposable capsule with no sedation. Sweet dreams BDSers!
Do you have uterine fibroids? There is an amazing Israeli technology called ExAblate that uses magnetic resonance image guided focused ultrasound to target and destroy uterine fibroids, non-cancerous masses located in the uterus. It’s also being studied for other indications including breast, bone, liver and brain tumors. I suppose holistic treatment is always an alternative for BDSers who don’t want to use technology created by a Haifa, Israel based company.
New dental innovations have been created to replace painful drills and replace them with laser technology. Israel based Syneron Dental Lasers is leading the way with its Litetouch Dental Laser. For the BDSers who prefer the medieval drilling – Novocain helps!
If you are using a computer to read this post, please turn it off if you want to boycott Israeli products. Anything that’s computerized or uses radio waves depends on silicone semiconductor chips. These chips were created by Intel’s Israel division, which is the headquarters for its global R&D for wireless technology. Guess it’s back to offline life for BDSers.
Do you own a Kindle? I’m afraid it’s back to print reading for BDSers. The JAVA platform inside Amazon’s best selling e-reader was developed by an Israeli R&D company contracted by Sun Microsystems in the heart of Israel’s high-tech center in the Herzliya Industrial Zone on the central coast.
Do you hate having to take your shoes off at airport security? Well soon, many of us won’t have to – at least those of us who don’t boycott Israeli products. Yes, you will be able to spot a BDSer at the airport now, because they will be the only ones removing their shoes. The rest of us will be enjoying the benefits of IDO Security’s Magshoe Shoe Scanning Device that screens the lower body and feet with a simple step-on device that takes seconds.
Do you love those sweet little cherry tomatoes? Well, they will be off the menu for BDSers, because those little red objects of vegetable joy were developed by botanists at the Agricultural School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Do you use Waze, the mobile app for navigating traffic and getting GPS directions on the go? Well, BDSers should go back to listening to traffic news on the radio because Waze was created by an Israeli company that was sold to Google.
The list goes on with Israeli lifesaving medical technologies, computer technologies, sustainable technology, and futuristic technologies we haven’t even seen yet.
If you are going to boycott Israeli products, do it right.
